Guests usually book Stockbridge Cottage by the week, from Saturday to Saturday during the high season. Shorter stays are available during the low season and on a last-minute basis in the mid and high season. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested in a last-minute, shorter stay during our peak seasons. If we can accommodate you, we will! Arrival and Departure TimesCheck in is at 4:00pm. Please feel free to contact us on the day of your arrival to see if an earlier check-in is possible. Check out is at 11am. We have storage available if you wish to store your bags and enjoy the beach or local area on your check-out day. Pets and SmokingNo smoking inside please. Pets - please discuss at time of booking. BookingPlease contact us by phone or email if you have any questions about making a booking. We will be happy to discuss any aspect of your break with Scotia Vacations. Step one - Booking First check availability calendar, or give us a call, to see if Stockbridge Cottage is available for your chosen dates. You will be asked to fill out a booking request form with some basic details. You can do this on line or we can fill it out by phone. Step two - Confirmation and Deposit Once we receive your booking request form, or book your dates over the phone, we will send you an electronic rental agreement. Please sign and return to us within 24 hours. You will be asked to send your deposit to us along with your rental agreement. If your arrival date is more than 45 days away, we will require a 35% deposit upon booking to hold your reservation. If your arrival date is less than 45 days away, we require payment in full at the time of booking. We currently require all deposits and final payments to be made by cheque. We hope to soon be able to receive payments by credit card. All deposits are non-refundable. If the rental agreement and the non-refundable deposit are not received within five working days (this time frame flexible for overseas guests), the booking will be considered cancelled. Scotia Vacations then has the right to assign Stockbridge Cottage to another guest for the same rental period. A booking is not confirmed until the signed rental agreement and deposit payment has been received by us mail, we recommend express post. Step three - Final payment Final payments must be made by cheque and be received 45 days before the rental commences. Once we receive your final payment, we send you an information pack and directions to the cottage. Security Deposit A security deposit will be required with the payment of the final balance. This payment will not be cashed unless there is a claim made on it. Your security deposit will be returned to you within seven days of the end of your vacation.
